oil and water

I asked my friend Stephen who lives along the Gulf in Mississippi to snap some pics for me of some of the more everyday details he sees of how things are being affected by the oil spill in the gulf - not the bigger dramatic images that we would naturally see on the news, but the small things that are less obvious. He said the orange boom are now in nearly every waterway and are the most obvious sight everywhere, with the second most obvious sight being that the docks, which would normally be empty, are full: all the shrimp and fishing boats that are normally out to sea are docked in port every day. The bags on the beaches are debris that has been cleared off the beaches by volunteers in order to make oil removal easier when it washes onshore.
