roof roof

In the early 1900's, a large fire in Key West led to regulations that houses had to have tin roofs. I don't know whether that regulation still exists, or whether the tin roofs remain out of tradition, but either way, most building is Key West have silver tin roofs. Everyone has heard of "Cat on A Hot Tin Roof," penned by Tennessee Williams, who lived in Key West for a large part of his life. Apparently, they remain as well. This guy would nap on the roof outside the door to our room; our presence didn't seem to phase him much. The other one here was on the market across the street as we came home one night.
