foggy

These pics are from a few weeks ago, but one of the weather phenomena that we get during season changes is fog. I especially enjoy when it rolls in thickly and you can visibly see the clouds between your house and the one across the street. It becomes so common in May and June that the fogginess if often referred to as "June Gloom" and "May Grey". In those times, it usually breaks up by later in the afternoon, but at other times, it can hang around the entire day. Even more remarkable is that it can often just be in one neighborhood. I sometimes check area livecams on my phone only to discover that just a couple miles away everything is clear and blue. Without that, its easy to make the false assumption that the whole city is blanketed in fog. Often, that's not the case.
