oh, nothing

Yesterday I left the sandy shores of Manhattan Beach to travel all day and come to the sandy shores of North Carolina. I'm here for our family beach week in Salvo, a little town on Cape Hatteras in the Outer Banks. The best thing about beach week is nothing. We're here for nothing. To do nothing. And that's everything. My two sisters are here, along with all but one of my nieces and nephews (hi Evan), my parents (of course), and the dogs: Phantom, Edn, Colby and Sandy. You'll be seeing lots of pics of them over the next week, I'm sure. Of course, I have tons of work that I'll be doing, but its still nicer to be able to be able to do it here for the week, at least. Cause just being here is everything.
