fired!

For my birthday this year I decided to have a party at the fire pits on Dockweiler State Beach on Saturday night. It turned out to be pretty small and low-key, but was nice nonetheless. One of my favorite parts was that my friends Susan & Tim and Cherie & Jason brought their less-than-year-old kids! Susan and Tim were even daring enough to give Violet her first step in the ocean. I'm not sure what it says about my age that friends are bringing their children, but I was glad they came. The night went on with a few friends around the fire as planes flew overhead. What could be more quaint? Next time: more wood, less beer.
