In honor of Mardi Gras, here's a gallery of some previously unpublished slivers from New Orleans when I was last there over New Years 2010. Meanwhile, I just discovered today that its Pancake Day in the UK. (How did I never hear of this before now?) Much like Mardi Gras, its a celebration derived from using the fats and "good stuff" before Lent begins. While I love a good pancake, somehow Mardi Gras sounds like a lot more fun.
