beginning to end

Close, but no cigar. I went to the Dodgers playoff game today with my friend Tim from DC. We started the game disastrously, but somehow in the 4th and 5th innings seemed to come back and take the lead. I was proud of the fans who were so into the game. With only one out and 2 balls and no strikes, the fans were still on their feet and making noise without stopping. It wasn't the typical LA sports crowd. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. The Mets move on. The Yankees don't. Maybe the world is still okay after all. At least until the Series is over.
