good to geaux
I feel like I'm only beginning to readjust back to beach life after what seems like so much time away (not that I'm complaining!). I'm in the middle of working on a project with lots of variations of the same thing - I started to get a little cross-eyed and stir crazy, so I decided it was time for a bike ride down the beach. I ended up in Hermosa and went wandering to grab a bite to eat, thinking I'd have some small salad. But I walked past a place I've heard about but not been to - the Ragin Cajun. The Zydeco music and smells wafting out lured me in. Its hardly a little-known place, but the food was awesome. (On the other hand, I can't remember when I've not liked anything cajun/creole, so I might not know it even if it wasn't so good.) But I knew I really liked the place when the guy running the place went out to give a treat to a dog tied at the door while its owner was picking up a carryout order. The ride back with a stomach full of crawfish etouffee wasn't as easy, but it was a good break from a day of repetition.
