london growling

Sunday brought some wandering around London. Not so much to see the "sights" but just to experience the neighborhood life. I only have to walk into the street in front of my flat/room and I'm immediately in the middle of everything. I wandered around, exploring some of the ins and outs of the neighborhood, but the highlight of the day had to be wandering into a packed pub only to discover it was - I'm not making this up - "Beareoke". It was a riot. A pub full of otherwise burly guys drinking and belting out tunes like Air Supply's "How Deep is Your Love" and some Kelly Clarkson "Hazel Eyes" song. I just couldn't stop laughing. It was by far the friendliest crowd I've found in London (which isn't saying a lot) and a great cap to the weekend.
