decompress

I spent the day in Ft Lauderdale. I used to schedule this stop on the way back from Key West to LA to give myself a day or two to do nothing after the whirlwind of Christmas and New Years before returning to the office. Now that I no longer work in an office, its not as necessary, but I did find it nice to have the stop. I ended up spending the day catching up on sleep and then working all day, but on the other hand, I was sitting by the pool working. Things could be worse. I also got to catch up over dinner and beers with an old friend, Bret, who I havent seen for 3 years or so. But, as usual, I'm ready to get home. It nice to end my travels feeling that way.
