It was blustery out today. If you think Southern Californians don't know how to react when it rains, you should see when it's cold. Today was the Sand Snowman contest in Hermosa Beach. I made it down late after most of the people had left (I have a feeling not too many people lingered any longer than they had to). It looks like there were probably half as many entries as last year, but they were still good for a chuckle. Mermaids/Snomaids seemed popular this year. As were the mini-snowman. I also ran into a wet-suited Santa leaving the surf shop on Pier Ave. (Surfa Claus?) As I keep saying.. 'tis the season.
